From food allergies to insect allergies, allergies affect approximately one in four people every day in the United Kingdom. Although many individuals are aware of their allergies as they often arise in childhood, it is not uncommon to develop later in life. If you have reason to believe that an allergy is impairing your day-to-day life, it's in your best interest to undergo allergy testing. Allergy testing is the process in which tests are conducted to measure the number of antibodies in the blood that the immune system has produced in response to an allergen. To determine whether you or your child has an allergy, you will be required to have a blood test. Your blood sample will then be sent to our lab to be analysed to determine whether any allergens are present. Private allergy testing is popular in private clinics because allergy testing is not available in NHS GP Practices.
We offer a GP Consultation combined with testing and a free of charge follow up to have the results explained to you. Consultations cost £110, plus the cost of the Allergy test.
We offer a phlebotomy only service which costs £30 plus the cost of the chosen test and simply email the results to you. No consultation is involved, and you will need to book a consultation if you want the results explained to you.
We offer allergy testing for children with MUMS Consultant Paediatricians – Vijay and Deepak. A consultation costs £240 plus the cost of the chosen allergy test and a free of charge remote consultation for the results to be explained to you.
We also offer a paediatric phlebotomy only service. This costs £50 plus the cost of the test but this does not include a consultation or having the results explained to you. You will need to book a consultation if you wish to have the results explained to you. This is why we recommend a consultation and testing in the first instance.
We do not recommend allergy test for babies under 6 months. You may still wish to have a consultation with the Paediatrician to discuss any issues you and your baby may be facing.
