Private Heart and Cardiac Testing for Adults and Children

Private Heart and Cardiac Testing without the wait for adults and children

ECG for adult men and women £80

Your heart function is recorded by the ECG, and the results are reported by a cardiologist. An ECG can identify problems with your heart including - heart attack, an enlarged heart that is working under strain - fast, slow, or irregular heartbeats called arrhythmias.

Lipid Profile and Cholesterol Test for adult men and women £75

Triglycerides, Cholesterol, HDL, LDL/Calculated, NON-HDL Cholesterol. Lipids are fats that are important constituents of cells and sources of energy. They are necessary for life, but abnormal levels may cause cardiovascular disease. A lipid profile measures the level of specific lipids in the blood.

Lp-PLA2 (PLAC test) £115

The Lp-PLA2 level in the blood is determined by this test, also known as the PLAC test, which evaluates lipoprotein-associated phospholipase (Lp-PLA2). This examination reveals whether your arteries have too much plaque build-up. This test assesses your risk of coronary heart disease.

Cardiovascular Risk Profile Blood Test £180

A cardiovascular risk profile blood test measures a range of biomarkers to provide a comprehensive assessment of a person's risk for heart and blood vessel diseases. This goes beyond a standard cholesterol test to include more advanced, independent risk factors for conditions like heart attack and stroke.

Echocardiogram (Ultrasound of the heart for adults) £380

This scan is for adults aged over 18 years of age and can give accurate pictures of the heart muscle, the heart chambers, and structures within the heart, such as the valves. This scan is not a study of the arteries around your heart but may show the effects of coronary disease/blocked arteries.

Healthy Heart Check UP for adults £420

This Health Screen is performed by a Private GP and lasts around 1 hour. The GP will take your medical history and assess your lifestyle and will examine you. Your height and weight and BMI will be measured and your urine will be tested. Your blood pressure and pulse is measured. It also includes a blood test and an ECG - please see below for the full details within this health screen.

24 Hour Ambulatory Blood Pressure Monitoring £380

Ambulatory blood pressure monitoring is the gold standard to diagnose high blood pressure and helps differentiate it from "white coat" hypertension. One off blood pressure readings provide only a snapshot of blood pressure on a particular day and can be misleading but only ambulatory blood pressure monitoring can provide a comprehensive measurement to identify those individuals most at risk of high blood pressure in order to potentially reduce the risk of future strokes and heart disease through targeted therapy.

24 Hour ECG and Analysis £350

This allows for accurate assessment and can pick up early warning of heart rhythm abnormalities even before symptoms are experienced.

Cardio memo 7 Days £350

Some people experience symptoms of palpitation relatively infrequently meaning that 24 hours of monitoring alone may not capture any heart rhythm abnormalities. A cardiomemo device is a very small portable monitor that can be used for weeks and allows for monitoring as and when symptoms are experienced to enable accurate identification of arrhythmias where shorter monitoring periods may miss episodes of palpitation.

ECG Holter 7 Days £650

We also have the ability to continually monitor the heart for periods of up to 7 days. This is useful in instances where symptoms may be short-lived and relatively infrequent or where screening for heart rhythm abnormalities that don't always cause symptoms may be suspected such as atrial fibrillation.
