Flu Vaccine for Adults £35.00

Private Flu Vaccination at MUMS for Adults

MUMS Private GPs and Nurses offer Flu Vaccination – 6 days a week from 8am to 6pm and on Saturdays to men and women aged 18yrs to 65yrs. If you are aged 65 or over, you can obtain this free of charge from your NHS GP.

The cost is £35

The Vaccine is administered within a 10 min consultation. The Flu vaccine is a safe and effective vaccine and is egg free.

The best time to have the Flu vaccine is in the autumn or early winter before flu starts spreading. However, you can have the Flu vaccination at any time. The vaccine takes about two weeks to become effective.

Flu Vaccination is very important. It is known that people are more likely to get flu and other virus’s now because less people will have developed a natural immunity to Flu due to the Covid 19 pandemic. Additionally – getting Flu and Covid 19 simultaneously would mean that you would be quite poorly – especially if you have compromised immunity. Those who work with young children, the elderly, the vulnerable, and pregnant women should get protection.

Only one dose is required.

Before receiving this vaccine, you should inform the doctor if you have an acute illness/fever – as delay of vaccine may be appropriate. Additionally, we will ask you if your immune system is impaired or you are undergoing treatment which affects your immune system. Also let us know if you have a bleeding problem or bruise easily.

By being vaccinated against Flu – means that you will be better protected and those around you will also be better protected.

By having an annual Flu Jab:

  • You are reducing the risk of getting and spreading Flu.
  • Preventing catching this year’s new strain of Flu Virus
  • Less likely to be poorly if you do get Flu.
  • Protect your family, friends, and colleagues.
