Dr Hannah Church is a consultant at The Coventry and Warwickshire Partnership Trust where she has regular NHS clinics. She is a member of the British Association of Sexual Health and HIV (BASHH), the British HIV Association (BHIVA), and the Faculty of Sexual and Reproductive Health (FSRH). She has been an elected member of the BASHH Board and was recently on the writing group for the BASHH National Sexual Health History taking guidelines.

If you are having problems with your sexual health or just want some peace of mind, then Dr Church can assess and diagnose your condition as well as advising you on the best possible treatments. You do not require a GP referral and we can often offer you a same day appointment.

STI and STD Tests

Consultants in Sexual Health and HIV Medicine specialise in, can:

  • Advise on your personal best screening tests for Sexually Transmitted Infections (STIs)
  • Give the best treatment for STI positive results or if you have been in contact with an STI
  • Advise and manage genital non sexually acquired infection
  • Advise on vaccinations that may be appropriate based on your sexual history
  • Discuss and manage HIV acquisition risk and prescription of Pre-Exposure Prophylaxis (PrEP) for HIV
  • Discuss and manage Post Exposure Prophylaxis (PEP) if you think you may have had a risk of exposure to HIV
  • Manage chronic and recurring genital infections, for example, genital herpes, recurrent candida (“thrush”), recurrent bacterial vaginosis (BV)
  • Discuss and support psychosexual problems and concerns
  • Deal with and treat erectile dysfunction.

  • Hannah Church is our Sexual Health Doctor at MUMS. She is an expert in STI’s and Sexual Health. You can arrange an appointment to see her for a consultation and comprehensive STI testing with 100% patient confidentiality.

  • Please call the clinic to arrange an appointment. We can usually arrange this for the same day service.

  • Symptoms can vary from person to person but some of the common symptoms could include the following: • An unusual discharge • Rashes or sores • Lumps • Lower abdominal pain, with or without fever • Painful or burning sensation when urinating • Irregular bleeding in between periods or after sexual intercourse (for women)

  • Our doctor will be able to offer a comprehensive range of testing, depending on your history or symptoms. This can be performed either by blood testing, urine, or swab samples. Depending on the STI, you may need to wait a period of time before taking the test to ensure that the results are accurate.

  • We send our tests to The Doctor’s Laboratory in London and provide a fast, accurate and efficient service for your results.

  • Once we receive your result, a member of MUMS staff will call you and your result will be given to you over the telephone and then emailed to you if this is your preferred option. How you prefer to receive your result will be discussed with you at your consultation.

  • If your result suggests that you will need treatment, we will issue you with a private prescription to take to your local chemist. If you need to have further testing, a follow-up appointment can be arranged.
