Why Is Sexual Health Important?

Your sexual health plays an integral part in your overall health and wellbeing.  Reviewing your sexual health protects you against Sexually Transmitted Infections (STIs) and ensures that you have appropriate contraception. Private STI testing ensures you receive early access to appropriate treatment, improving your chances of making a full recovery and improving longer term health outcomes.

Why are sexual health checkups important?

Regular sexual health checkups are crucial when it comes to maintaining good sexual health. They ensure that you receive early and appropriate treatment for any STIs and can help prevent further transmission. Private sexual health clinic testing can help you stay healthy and tackle any issues as soon as they arise. STIs are often without symptoms so regular check ups are important.

Why might someone consult a sexual health service?

At our sexual health clinic in Solihull, we treat all kinds of people for a wide variety of reasons. If you’ve had unprotected sex or have particular concerns about your sexual health, then private STI testing can put your mind at rest. Even if you suspect your concerns are unwarranted it can still be helpful to visit a clinic for peace of mind.

What type of people use sexual health services?

There is no one type of person who visits a private STI clinic. At MUMs, we provide a wide range of private sexual health services to sexually active adults of all ages and backgrounds. We are able to test for a greater range of infections than many NHS clinics. Our professional staff offer the highest level of care and confidentiality, whatever your reasons for visiting and whoever you are.

  • Once we receive your result, a member of MUMS staff will call you and your result will be given to you over the telephone and then emailed to you if this is your preferred option. How you prefer to receive your result will be discussed with you at your consultation.
