The cost of the Vaccine is £80.00 per dose.

The Vaccine is administered in 3 separate doses.

This Vaccine is recommended to be administered within a £100.00 GP Consultation with comprehensive advice. However, you may wish to have the vaccination only without a consultation which costs £40.00

The total cost per dose with a GP is £180.00

Tick-borne encephalitis is a viral infection endemic to many European countries.

The safest way to avoid getting tick-borne encephalitis is to vaccinated.

You should get the first dose at least two months before you travel and at least one more dose before travel.

There are 3 doses. The 2nd dose is given 1-3 months after the first dose. The 3rd dose is given 5-12 months after the second dose.

Once you have completed three doses you are protected for 3 years. You will need a booster once the three years are up.

The injection is given in the upper arm.

Side effects from the injection include fatigue, nausea and headache.

This vaccination is suitable for children who are 12 months and older.

You should avoid tick bites and take precautions.

Tick Borne Encephalitis can cause serious complications such as inflammation of the brain.
