Miss Poonam Pradhan, and Miss Natalie Woodhead, Consultant Gynaecologists offer investigation and treatment for miscarriage and recurrent miscarriage at MUMS Solihull.

Recurrent miscarriages affect 1% of couples trying to conceive.  To support patients through this somewhat distressing time, our investigations and treatments can determine whether an underlying condition has caused a miscarriage to occur. 

Our miscarriage investigations include a detailed pelvic ultrasound scan and blood tests, all of which can detect treatable conditions, including Anti Phospholipid Antibody Syndrome. Support and care are the mainstays whilst treating patients with recurrent miscarriages. At MUMS, we take pride in providing this service.

Where patients have already had a scan and consultation with Miss Pradhan or Miss Woodhead - and have become pregnant – then a £35.00 Remote telephone consultation can take place for the prescribing of Progesterone. This service is suitable for pregnant women who have consulted with MUMS Gynaecologists previously or have had a recent scan at MUMS and have decided they would like to take Progesterone. Where appropriate Miss Pradhan and Miss Woodhead will prescribe progesterone.

Our Gynaecologists offer a scan and consultation for early pregnancies following miscarriage or recurring miscarriages. This costs £150.00

For a Full Recurring Miscarriage Investigation to include blood testing profile, consultation and scan the cost is £930.00

The cost of the Recurring Miscarriage profiling is £490.00 Chromosome Analysis is available if required. The cost for the Chromosome Analysis is £400.00 for each parent.

Following a blood test and consultation, suitable treatment can be administered if needed for underlying causations.
