This is a cancer that hides and is difficult to diagnose until the late stages. In the early stages it mimics irritable bowel syndrome and patients often complain of irregularity in their bowel movements. Abdominal bloating is also a very common feature of this condition. It is often diagnosed in the post-menopausal years. However, there is also another peak in the late teens/early twenties. Miss Pradhan and Miss Woodhead, Consultant Gynaecologists - will perform and scan and arrange tumour markers which help to diagnose this condition.
A scan and consultation with Miss Pradhan or Miss Woodhead costs £400.00 and includes a report to your NHS GP or Consultant.
