Acne can affect confidence and wellbeing. If over-the-counter treatments haven’t worked and you are seeking a specialist opinion to help manage your acne and reduce the risk of scarring, our experienced clinicians are here to guide and support you.
During your consultation, Dr Huda, Dr Vijay, or Dr Vandna will take the time to understand your skin concerns and discuss treatment options tailored to you. All treatments are explained clearly, including their benefits, risks, and possible side effects.
For severe acne, or acne that has not responded to other treatments, isotretinoin may be considered. This specialist medication requires careful monitoring and blood tests, which can be arranged either at MUMS or with your GP.
Please note: isotretinoin is not prescribed at the first appointment.
