Frequently Asked Questions

What is a Covid-19 PCR test?

A Covid-19 PCR test looks for the Covid virus on a sample collected from the back of the throat and nose. Our private testing is provided by UKAS accredited labs to provide fast, accurate and reliable results.

When will I get my coronavirus test result?

Depending which option you choose and the time you sample is taken, you can receive your result in as little as 6-8 hours with our fastest service.

Can I use my negative test result to travel?

Yes. Although difference countries have different requirements and may only accept a particular type of test (for example, PCR tests only). Please check your destination for specific requirements so that you have a valid and accepted test when you arrive.

What do I get on my Travel Certificate?

The certificate will include your negative test result signed by GMC (General Medical Council) GP confirming that you are fit and safe to travel.

Please be aware, when attending MUMS, face coverings must be worn when attending your appointment.

* If travelling abroad please check carefully on what tests are accepted by your destination's arrival authority as requirements for the type of test vary.

1 Arrivals from the UK Government's 'red list' countries are not eligible to use the Test and Release scheme.
