Urgent Urinary Retention Clinic at MUMS

MUMS Consultant Urological Surgeon Mr. B Dev Sarmah is offering a consultant led one stop Acute urinary retention service for those who either can't or does not want to spend hours in the local A & E Department. Acute urinary retention is defined as painful stoppage in passing urine. This service includes a consultation with clinical assessment, real time ultrasound scan and catheterization. Mums has joined hands with Clinisupplies who would support our patients in the community with supply of disposables on the NHS tariff. Furthermore suitable patients would have a trial without catheter at home with support from Clinisupplies team and further management. 

The initial cost involved is £235 for consultation with assessment, £195 for real time ultrasound scan and £150 for catheterization. Total cost £580
