Private Blood Tests at MUMS

Blood tests with fast and accurate results

Blood Tests at MUMS Clinic

MUMS offers same day access to give you peace of mind and help you resolve health problems quickly. This often requires diagnostic tests like blood and urine analysis.

Men, women, and children can have a blood test at MUMS – 6 days a week. You can choose to have a blood, urine, swab, or any other test with either a Consultant, GP, Nurse, or Phlebotomist. MUMS’ Consultant Paediatrician takes blood from infants and children.

If you choose to have a consultation with a Consultant or a GP for your test, you will receive a free of charge follow up consultation to have the results explained to you.

If you choose to have a Nurse or a Phlebotomist for your test, then we will share your results with you, and you can choose to have a remote or face to face consultation should you wish to have the results interpreted.

Unfortunately, NHS waiting times for these procedures can be long and just add to your worry and anxiety.

We offer a range of specific pathology tests at our Solihull clinic, that can take place quickly with results and reports returned promptly, giving you the reassurance that your health is a priority.

There is no need to get a referral from your NHS GP.

Staff provide clear guidance about test preparation and walk patients through each step to minimise anxiety. With extended appointment times, specialists can take as long as needed to obtain samples comfortably. These measures aim to deliver a smooth, stress-free experience.

Lab Certifications and Accreditations

When selecting a testing provider, patients should confirm proper certifications and accreditations. Trusted labs undergo rigorous oversight to verify quality standards, reliable equipment, and trained staff. These credentials offer assurance of accuracy and care. MUMS uses a UKAS Accredited laboratory.

Specimen Handling and Patient Comfort

Our Phlebotomists and GPs and Doctors are specially trained to draw blood and handle specimens properly. The procedure is conducted in a private room to protect patient privacy. We use best practices to ensure your comfort and safety during the blood draw. Once the sample is obtained, it is labelled and processed promptly. Results are delivered securely to the patient portal.

The Value of Private Blood Testing

Private blood testing provides an opportunity to get essential lab work done in a comfortable, private setting. This can help put your mind at ease while protecting confidential medical information and:

  • Convenience and shorter wait times compared to some NHS healthcare options
  • One-on-one consultations with knowledgeable staff
  • Comfortable, private environment

Accessing and Understanding Your Blood Test Results

At MUMS, we understand the importance of providing timely access to test results in a secure and confidential manner.  We contact you and share via email – your result. We organise a remote consultation by phone with the initiating clinician to have your result interpreted. If your blood test is a self-referral with a Phlebotomist, you will need to pay for a remote consultation to have the results interpreted.

Ensuring Quality and Compliance in Blood Testing

At MUMS, we take privacy and quality assurance in our blood testing services very seriously. As a trusted healthcare provider, we follow strict confidentiality protocols and industry best practices.
