Female Pelvic Pain

The Pain on intimacy, using tampons or having an internal examination may be suggestive of pelvic pain.  Symptoms may be experienced in the vulvar, vaginal, lower abdominal or rectal areas and are often worse after periods of sitting.  These symptoms can occur in postnatal women or women who have never had children and can be due to an over active pelvic floor rather than a weak one.  The Physio team at MUMS see female pelvic pain patients all over the UK.
