At MUMS we offer two female Consultant Gynaecologists.

Miss Poonam Pradhan and Miss Natalie Woodhead offer a comprehensive private gynaecology service that enables women to secure the medical advice, guidance, and treatment they need when they need it.

About Our Consultant Gynaecologists

Miss Poonam Pradhan, Consultant Obstetrician and Gynaecologist, is available to see patients at MUMS.  She has a specialist interest in menopause, HRT and problems arising from treatment with HRT She is a senior consultant at the University Hospital Birmingham with vast experience in pelvic Ultrasound scans. Miss Poonam Pradhan can provide consultations, scans and treatments on Wednesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays at our clinic.

There is no need for a referral from your GP – We offer rapid access to consultations and scans and a wide array of gynaecological investigations.

Miss Pradhan also treats Urinary incontinence and urine leakage - Usually encountered by the age of 50 due to weakness in the pelvic floor caused by childbirth, menopause and ageing, urinary incontinence worsens with age.

Treatment for urinary incontinence varies. However, here at MUMS, we are delighted to be the only West Midlands clinic offering the revolutionary Emsella Chair to treat urinary incontinence. Patients sit on the Emsella chair, which holds a strong magnet that creates electromagnetic fields and penetrates deep into the pelvic floor muscles, creating a maximum contraction of the muscles. MUMS believe this is a massive breakthrough in the treatment of urinary incontinence. Harmless and non-invasive, our patients see significant improvement in their urinary incontinence upon completing this treatment.

At MUMS, we offer a urinary incontinence treatment package consisting of a consultation with Miss Poonam Pradhan and six Emsella chair sessions.  Extremely effective, these treatment packages remain in high demand.

 

Miss Natalie Woodhead – Consultant Gynaecologist at MUMS

Natalie usually sees patients on Tuesdays and Fridays and her subject matter expertise is Pelvic Inflammatory Disease, Recurrent Miscarriage, Contraception and Termination of Pregnancy. Additionally – Natalie offers early pregnancy scans and cervical smears.

Miss Natalie also deals with Menstrual Disorders, Poly Cystic Ovarian Syndrome, Recurrent Miscarriage, Cervical Cancer, and all Women’s Health issues.

There are no waiting times to see Miss Natalie Woodhead's, nor do you need a referral from your NHS GP. Miss Natalie Woodhead's works locally in the NHS.

Seeing a gynaecologist at MUMS can alleviate many female health concerns and frustrations from NHS waits. Natalie is experienced in diagnosing and treating ovarian cysts, sexual health, vaginal problems such as pain and discharge and premenstrual syndrome.

Miss Natalie Woodhead's performs gynaecological ultrasound scans including uterus, ovarian, endometrium and follicle tracking.  Natalie also deals with endometriosis, period pain, irregular periods, heavy periods, and abnormal smears.

As experts in gynaecology scanning and treatments, Miss Poonam Pradhan and Miss Natalie Woodhead also perform smear tests, biopsies, and coil insertions at our clinic.
