Mr Chris Griffin

Consultant Obstetrician and Gynaecologist
Chris is from South Wales, having trained in Southampton he spent time inAustralia as a Flying Doctor in General Practice before taking forward his specialist interest in Fetal and Maternal Medicine. He is a fully qualified and accredited sub-specialist in all aspects of pregnancy care with particular expertise and experience in Ultrasound scanning. Chris has been a Consultant Obstetrician based within the Heart of England Foundation Trust since 2000. All complex fetal medicine cases are supervised and overseen by Chris. He is a Fellow of the Royal Australia & New Zealand College of Obstetricians & Gynaecologists (FRANZCOG) and has the Fetal Medicine Foundation certificate for Nuchal Translucency (NT) scanning, Nasal Bone (NB) assessment, Tricuspid Regurgitation (TR), Ductus Venosus (DV) and Facial Angle (FA). His specific interests include medical audit and computerisation of medical notes.

Mr Mike Wyldes

Consultant Obstetrician
Mike is an Oxford University Graduate and was trained through the UK system in the Midlands after qualification in 1983. In 2009 Mike was appointed Clinical Director of Obstetric and Gynaecology at the Heart of England Foundation Trust, having been a Consultant Obstetrician & Gynaecologist at Heartlands & Solihull Hospitals since 1994, specialising in Ultrasound and Fetal Medicine. He is also the convenor and secretary of the West Midlands Regional Ultrasound Group and runs the Regional Congenital Anomaly Register. He has published on many ultrasound issues including congenital abnormalities and markers for Down’s syndrome. He is a Fellow of the Royal College of Obstetricians & Gynaecologists (FRCOG) and has the Fetal Medicine Foundation certificate for Nuchal Translucency (NT) scanning and Nasal Bone (NB) assessment, Tricuspid Regurgitation (TR), Ductus Venosus (DV) and Facial Angle (FA).

Maria Benham B Med Sci, BM, BS, FRCA
Consultant Anaesthetist

Maria read Medicine at Nottingham University, graduating in 1989.  She trained in Anaesthetics in the West Midlands sub specializing in Obstetrics.  She was appointed as a Consultant in 1999 at Birmingham Heartlands and Solihull NHS Trust and has been lead clinician for obstetric anaesthesia since then.  Her particular interests are high risk delivery care (where the mother has medical problems either due to pregnancy or pre-existing), pain relief in labour and developing techniques during caesarean deliveries to help the parents delight in the birth of their baby.

Stephen Rose FRCPCH, FRCP, MD

Ihave been a consultant paediatrician with a major interest in newborn care for over 15 years practising in Solihull and Heartlands Hospitals as well as MUMS in Knowle and BUPA Parkway in Solihull. I am also a general paediatrician offering specialist care to children from birth to 16 years. I am able to offer the following services:
 
Examination and resuscitation at birth £1,500
Normal hospital post natal examination £250
Follow up consultations, usually at BUPA Parkway hospital for baby or childhood concerns £150
