Sexing scan
This scan is performed to determine the sex of your baby.
The best time to have this scan is from 17 weeks of pregnancy onwards, which at this point is 99% accurate.
Determining the gender is always routinely offered at any other scan at MUMS after this stage BUT equally if you do not want to
know the gender at the time of other scans, we can hide this from you very effectively.
Your scan will be an abdominal scan (a full bladder is not necessary).
You will receive a DVD of the scan, a few still images and a full written report.
Your appointment is booked for 20 minutes.
If for any reason we are unable to determine the sex of your baby on the day, we will arrange a repeat appointment for you free of charge.
